chief Executive officer

Ashley L. Coleman, BS, BA, joined JASMYN in February 2026. With more than ten years of leadership in LGBTQ+ advocacy, community health, and youth empowerment, she is well positioned to lead JASMYN’s continued growth and impact.

Ashley most recently served as Executive Director of the Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center and previously held leadership roles at GALAEI and the Mazzoni Center. She has directed large-scale community events, national conferences, and youth-focused initiatives, consistently working to create safe, affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth.

She began her work in the Lehigh Valley, leading queer youth programs and organizing community events throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. Her experience highlights her ability to build partnerships, mobilize communities, and strengthen support systems for LGBTQ+ youth.

Ashley assumes the role with deep respect for Cindy Watson’s legacy, which established JASMYN as a trusted resource for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults in Northeast Florida. She will focus on expanding access to affirming care, strengthening community relationships, and ensuring every young person seeking support at JASMYN feels valued and seen.

“I am honored to join JASMYN at such a pivotal moment,” said Ashley. “Every young person deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive. I am committed to strengthening the systems of support that uplift LGBTQ+ youth and working alongside the amazing team at JASMYN and this community to build a future rooted in care, connection, and possibility.”

The JASMYN Board of Directors endorsed Ashley’s appointment following a national search.

“Ashley brings a powerful combination of experience, vision, and heart,” said Issis Alvarez, Chair of the JASMYN Board of Directors. “Her leadership reflects the values that have guided JASMYN for decades, and her commitment to youth-centered advocacy will help us move forward as an organization. We are confident she is the right leader for this next chapter.”
