JASMYN was built from the dream of a lonely teen who longed for a sense of belonging. That vision of togetherness continues to guide us today. Every program, service, and space at JASMYN is youth-centered, designed to empower our young people to thrive. We’re committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ teens (ages 13-17) by offering resources, education, and a safe, affirming space where they can truly be themselves. It’s all about creating a community that uplifts and empowers the next generation.
Family space
Family Space is a welcoming, brave space for parents, family members, chosen family, and adult supporters of LGBTQIA+ teens and young adults. Facilitated by JASMYN staff, Family Specialists, and parent volunteers, this space provides a supportive environment for adults to connect, learn, and share. Whether you’re supporting a teen or young adult, Family Space is here for all adult supporters, no matter your young person’s age.

Yes. Family Space is run in conjunction with our LGBTQIA+ Teen (13-17) group: Teen Teachable Tuesdays. If you are a family member you do not need to have a youth attend the program and if you have a teen attending the program, you do not have to attend Family Space.

We’d love to meet you and the young person you’re supporting! Touring our campus is a great way to see firsthand the safe, affirming environment we’ve created for LGBTQIA+ youth. Families and supporters can feel at ease knowing exactly where their child will be spending time, connecting with peers, and accessing resources.
